Performances Planned Locally and in Gastonia, Raleigh and Winston-Salem, N.C.

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—The Ҵý Concert Choir presents its Spring Tour, “pro Deo et Humanitate (For God and Humanity),” on March 10 at 8 p.m. in Dover Chapel. The event is free and open to the public. Conductor Joshua Cheney is assistant professor of music, director of Choral Activities and coordinator of Worship Leadership at Ҵý-Webb. He describes how the music in each section relates to the theme of the program: “The repertoire deals with the experiences of disenfranchised peoples, the impact of the Gospel on oppressors and apathetic hearts, and concludes with an apologetic for Christian action in the world.”

    • Listen to the Lambs, R. Nathaniel Dett.
    • Can I See Another’s Woe?, Jane Marshall.
