news-category: Athletics ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½-Webb Women’s Soccer Open 2025 with Home Exhibition Match Against Furman on Aug. 7 By Office of University Communications On July 30, 2025 Runnin’ Bulldogs’ 16-Game Schedule Features Eight in Big South Conference BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—Now official, Head Coach Erik Solberg and the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ women’s soccer team have announced the upcoming fall 2025 schedule, featuring eight competitive home games and an eight-game Big South Conference slate. The Runnin’ Bulldogs open 2025 at home on Aug. 7, taking on Furman in an exhibition match. This will help set GWU on its way for the regular season, where the Dawgs first three competitive contests are on the road—Aug. 14 at Stetson, Aug. 17 at Queens and Aug. 24 at Elon. ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½-Webb rounds out August with its official home opener against Wofford on Aug. 28, and a second competitive home match on Aug. 31 against South Carolina State, a team the Runnin’ Bulldogs defeated twice last fall. September begins with more road games, as the Runnin’ Bulldogs visit The Citadel on Sept. 4, Mercer on Sept. 7 and College of Charleston on Sept. 11. Big South Conference play then begins for GWU on Sept. 20, where the Runnin’ Bulldogs travel north to face Longwood. The Runnin’ Bulldogs will then welcome in three league opponents and one non-conference opponent for a run of four home games in five in late September and early October. The Dawgs host Presbyterian on Sept. 24, Winthrop on Oct. 1, and Allen University on Oct. 4. GWU visits Allen next up on Oct. 8 before turning around to host Charleston Southern on Oct. 11. Back-to-back road games then follow, as ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½-Webb visits UNC-Asheville on Oct. 15 and defending Big South Conference champions, USC-Upstate on Oct. 18. One last non-conference match sits between the final two Big South match-ups, as the Red and Black play host to VMI on Oct. 22, ahead of the Runnin’ Bulldogs final road game at High Point on Oct. 25 and home finale against Radford on Oct. 29.
